Looking for a Great PR & Marketing Podcast?

Check Out Lead Balloon!

Every day I enjoy listening to a variety of podcasts while having my morning coffee. They include The Daily from the New York Times, NPR’s How I Built This and for great public relations and marketing insights, Lead Balloon, AdWeek’s 2020 “Marketing Podcast of the Year” hosted by Dusty Weis.

Once a month, Dusty takes you behind-the-scenes, interviewing some of the biggest names from the public relations world. Guests have worked for global brands, politics, non-profits and healthcare.

After becoming a fan of Lead Balloon, I learned Dusty and I have a great deal in common. We both are University of Wisconsin-Madison graduates, have spent time working in the South Florida business community and are passionate about Wisconsin Badgers sports.

This month it was great introducing Dusty to another fellow Badger and friend, Ben Deutsch. Ben worked for 25 years at the Coca-Cola Company and was the Vice President, Corporate Communications before retiring and becoming an adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

In Lead Balloon’s March episode, Ben shares with Dusty a great story of scrambling to buy 1998 World Cup tickets from scalpers in France to avert a PR crisis and shares his insights and lessons learned to become a successful public relations professional.

I hope you enjoy this episode of Lead Balloon and become a regular listener. Thank you Dusty for the shout-out at the end of the episode.Check out Lead Balloon Episode #18 Right Here
